Local & Resilient Food Systems
We work to catalyse ecosystem restoration practices, facilitate the development of Biodistricts, and promote enabling local food policies as mutually reinforcing dimensions of agroecological transition. By supporting farmers, communities, and local institutions, we help build food systems that are regenerative, democratic, and rooted in the stewardship of land and commons.
Ecosystem Restoration
We support farmers and land stewards in adopting regenerative practices such as soil restoration, biodiversity corridors, diversified cropping, and reduced external inputs. These actions help restore ecological health while strengthening the long-term productivity and resilience of local production systems.
Biodistrict Facilitation
We facilitate the development of Biodistricts as collaborative territorial spaces where farmers, municipalities, schools, citizens, and local businesses can work together. Through these processes, agroecology becomes embedded not only in farming practices, but also in local governance, education, and economic relationships.
Local Food Policies
We work with local authorities and community stakeholders to promote food policies that prioritize short supply chains, public procurement from local agroecological producers, and equitable access to markets. In doing so, we help create enabling conditions for food systems that serve both people and ecosystems.
